The Meryl Streep of Wit's End

It's a little early but the buzz on my corner of Katy is that Linaria maroccana is not only assured of a repeat nomination for the best performance by a spring annual but should once again walk away with the prize. Despite strong competition from the more obvious acting of Papaver somniferum and the vivid showing by Consolida ambigua, the multi-hued subtle charms of Toadflax's portrayal have won accolades from both The Head Gardener and me. As seen below, Linaria is already proving herself worthy of acclaim.
