Well, Aren't You Nice!

An anonymous benefactor left this fabulous piece of potential garden art on my driveway while I was in Buffalo. Whoever you are, THANK YOU! I absolutely love it, as you clearly knew I would. I'm not quite sure where its semi-final resting place will be (because as most people also know, I like to change things up!) but I'll post a picture of it when I do.

How nice! I looked in my antiqueing on vacation for a mailbox...and am kicking myself for not getting the one I did find in Des Moines.

When our 85 year old neighbor died, I asked her baby brother if we could have her big old mailbox. He kindly agreed and 28 years later we are still using it - and getting the mail delivered to us even though it still bears Mabel's name. The PO is very understanding in a town as small as our.

Wow, aren't you lucky! That is fabulous. And half the fun is finding the perfect home for such wonder.
