The Executive Producer served as my chauffeur to Dallas today: while he spends some time catching up with family in the area, I'm hanging out with fellow garden writers at the Garden Writers of America symposium. We'll be touring various public and private gardens in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, so photo ops will abound. First up, though, is a keynote address on sustainability and social responsibility, followed by a morning of seminars on topics of interest to garden communicators. I plan to report in at the end of the day tomorrow with at least a couple of pictures and some musings from the day's events. No pictures to share with you today ... the camera stayed in my room while I trekked the exhibitors' hall and marveled over new garden gadgets, tools, seed collections and, even better, some amazing new plants. What I can share is that my fellow gardeners and I have much to anticipate in 2011!
