Here We Go Again ...

The cable company decided to replace the existing cable running from my neighbor's cable box on his northeast front corner through his side yard, across the alley into the rose bed and the length of my side yard, then across the width of the property to the cable box on my southwest corner.  To do required the digging of 9 holes on my corner of Katy, five of which were in garden beds.  The carnage is not for the faint of heart ...

Oh, Lordy! Carnage is right. How very sad these photos are.
:( So very sad for you and your garden.

This would not have gone over very well on my ranch in Conroe! Carol

Yikes! That's a lot of digging and not where you wanted holes, I'm sure. Best wishes for a speedy recovery for your garden, the head gardener, and you.

(Love your new heading photo, by the way.)
SO sad! Hoping everything gets back to normal soon!

The Bama Gardener
Oh my gosh, not for the faint of heart is right. Especially for the Head Gardener (or any gardener; we can all relate)! At least it wasn't during the middle of your spectacular spring show!
That stinks. Underground utilities are nice until they get in the way of our gardening. I had a recent experience with the city replacing part of my sewer line. Fortunately, the crew worked with me and there was minimal destruction.
OMG, I don't think I would have survived that!
