Oops, I Did It Again ...

I bought plants. On the way home from a stint at the Chronicle, I stopped at Buchanan's hoping to find some Persicaria to photograph. Instead I found 3 Penstemon baccharifolius at 50% off. They're native to Texas ... okay, maybe not MY part of Texas and it's a big state, yadda-yadda-yadda ... and they're hummingbird magnets. It was an act of mercy on my part to rescue them.

Then I went down the street to Another Place in Time and they had Senorita Rosalita Cleome in 1 gallon pots (not in the picture because I'd already taken her out to see where I want to place her) and a lovely assortment of Pentas. I had buyer's remorse over buying the danged variegated Pentas pictured because I've grown them several times and they are NEVER as vigorous as the solid leafed varieties. I drove home wishing I'd bought more of the upright red and lavender pentas Mike Lowery had in stock. And while I was at it, I could use a couple more of those Cleomes ...

I guess I have to go shopping again!
